1. Fiber Length and Softness
Longer fibers in cotton balls typically result in smoother, softer products. This is because longer fibers can be spun into finer yarns, which contribute to a softer texture that is gentle on sensitive skin, making them ideal for wound cleaning, skin applications, and cosmetic use.
Shorter fibers, in contrast, can cause a rougher texture. Shorter fibers often lead to a more fibrous or scratchy feeling, which may not be ideal for medical use, particularly for delicate skin or when gentle application is necessary.

2. Fiber Density and Durability
Higher fiber density increases the structural integrity of cotton balls, making them more resilient and durable.
